The story of us

Mitch started NewCity with his friend Nic Cassar in the Summer of 2017. We started meeting in homes and quickly grew to needing another location. NewCity has met in the Joy Cummings Centre, The Station and The Umbrian Cafe.

Nic finished up in 2021 and took up a role at another local church.

In 2023 Mitch joined New Lambton Uniting Church as their Minister, with NewCity contributing 1 day a week to Mitch’s Salary. NewCity is now a ministry of New Lambton Uniting Church and is accountable to the New Lambton Church Council. There is currently one NewCity representative on the Council with provisions for a few more.
